About us

A Team of technology for development lovers

We are a team of Technology for Development professionals with a combined experience of over 30 years that partnered together to create JengaLab, a vibrant space promoting new development cooperation paths by supporting innovative partnerships between international development stakeholders and local tech entrepreneurial ecosystems in developing and emerging countries.

We operate in a wide range of sectors such as agriculture, circular economy, climate change, disaster risk reduction, education, emergency response, health and natural resources management.

A new pathway for the international development sector

By working with international development organizations such as FAO, IFAD, GIZ, CTA, Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UNHCR, UNICEF, MSF and many more, we have observed how aid and development organizations often transfer solutions conceived in established economies to solve challenges in low-middle income countries. Often these initiatives do not consider contextual specificities as a determinant of success, and therefore struggle to produce the desired effects. For a broader impact, JengaLab promotes a vision of co-designed and co-created solutions development that amplifies the potential positive impact of cross-border initiatives and support the existing ecosystems of innovators.
